Happy New Year!! It's 2023 and I'm sure most of us are wondering what happened to 2022 and realizing that time definitely indeed does fly. Besides spending the day recovering from NYE, we are wondering of all the things we would like to accomplish in this new year. This is the day we write down or come up with our resolutions for the year. According to the internet a resolution is defined as the act of resolving or determining upon an action. I know, insert joke about most of them being busted by the end of the first day or week or month. What are your resolutions?
Most tend to be focused on fitness, health, and nutrition. Yes, I know I offer coaching in all those areas...weird...lol. In all seriousness, these type of resolutions are the most popular. Along with making these resolutions is deciding what path to follow to accomplish these goals. Welcome to the minefield of pills, potions, and gimmicks to help one lose weight, eat better, etc. I am here to tell you the quick and easy way will not lead to sustainable changes. The quick and easy route will lead to the dark side. I know, another reference to my favorite movie series...lol. Of course the easy route is tempting, it means we don't have to work as hard. Deep down we do know that sustainable change is not easy and does require work, but yet we want the changes to happen now or overnight.
Change takes time. There is no "magic pill" that will help you accomplish your resolutions. If I had the "magic pill", I would be on my private island and traveling the world...lol. I encourage you to make resolutions and better yet I encourage you to stick to them. I can help you navigate the minefield of quick fixes, so you don't have to do it alone. What actions do you want to take this year? What do you want to accomplish? Today is day 1 of a whole new year and there is plenty of time and opportunity to complete your resolutions and be successful!
